Clash of Cultures.
A hurricane of superseding warfare has been raging among the country of Afghanistan and the city of Kabul for over thirty years. In the midst of the chaos of a never ending war, there are persons who, by the strength of their moral courage, are not just creating, but also nurturing a piece of normality – a calm, peaceful “eye” in the hurricane – instilling hope in others – with the help of the most powerful weapon of human civilisation – culture. In times of war, what does culture count? What does daily life count? Culture, as Kabul shows us, is humanity’s all-important, last lifeline. Culture dies last.
